Carbohydrates are a source of fuel that our bodies use for energy. The main types are sugars, starches, and fiber.
Bread, pasta, beans, potatoes, rice, cookies, desserts and cereals. Should we pay attention to the amount of carbs we’re eating as a family? This is a question I hear a lot in my house. My family has been trying to eat a bit healthier and one of the things we are trying to do is limit carbs. Personally, I LOVE carbs. But because my family is trying to find healthier options I decided to help them out. One of the first new recipes I tried was cloud bread. The first time I made it, everyone loved it so I knew it was a keeper for our family, especially my mom. I still love good old-fashioned bread… especially home baked bread right out of the oven smothered in butter… but it’s nice to have a healthier option. Another recipe I plan to try out soon is cauliflower pizza crust! I’ve seen so many recipes recently using cauliflower as a healthy substitute and can’t wait to try out some of those recipes. Keep an eye on my website for them!
